Explore research challenges in politically sensitive contexts with Nacima Ourahmoune, Professor of Marketing at KEDGE Business School, whose work boldly explores the intersections of culture, politics, and consumption. Trained in political science and deeply engaged with critical, post-colonial, gender and feminist approaches, Prof. Ourahmoune has experience navigating sensitive research terrains, from body, gender and sexuality in the Global South to consumer activism and postcolonial marketing critiques for two decades. For instance, she has written about sex tourism in the Caribbean in the Journal of Public Policy & Marketing, women in Algerian social movements in Gender, Work & Organization, Diversity programs in the Journal of Business Research, and produced chapters and commentaries about the Arab Spring and the Orientalizing gaze. She is featured extensively in the French national media and engaged in public discourse around gender justice, diversity, racism, post-colonial/decolonization approaches, and globalization and cultures through academic platforms such as The Conversation.
